9/14/2023 0 Comments The trickster dead by daylight![]() ![]() If the player does not activate it before the power bar depletes all the way, then the Trickster will have to fill the meter again. The meter starts to deplete rapidly, so the Trickster must quickly trigger the Main Event with the secondary action button. When this meter is filled, the Main Event ability becomes available to the Trickster, which is indicated by a yellow effect appearing around the Trickster’s screen. That’s not all there is to his power, though! Every time the Trickster hits a Survivor with a dagger, it fills up a meter around his power. Additionally, both the Killer and Survivor hear a scream to indicate that the next dagger hit will injure the Survivor. These lines turn red, as does the Laceration circle, when the next dagger will injure the Survivor by one health state. Survivors also get these lines that multiply on their screen as the Laceration circle fills. Instead, each dagger lacerates the Survivor, which is indicated by a purple Laceration circle around their profile. These daggers do not injure Survivors normally. The Trickster can refill his daggers at any locker. When the Trickster throws daggers rapidly, his movement speed is slowed, but his accuracy and throwing speed is increased. He can choose to throw one dagger at a time, or rapid fire them by holding down the attack button. He starts the trial with 60 daggers that he can aim and throw at Survivors. The Trickster is commonly cited as a lower-tier character but he is also one of the easiest killers to learn to play as.The Trickster’s has a Terror Radius of 24 meters and a movement speed of 4.4 m/s. Play to your strengths and you shouldn't have a hard time. ![]() I personally didn't use it once in my adept match. Main Event can be a clutch ability, especially in situations like I said before when someone has to unhook in front of you, but don't worry about playing the match around it. Trickster can be especially deadly when survivors try to unhook in front of him as you can injure both the unhooked and unhooker relatively quickly when they're locked in animation. It also helps to note that there's no long cooldown between going from injuring someone with your knives and then using your melee to quickly down survivors. A few bonus perks revolving around the killer is that his blades counter the ever prevelant Dead Hard and since Trickster is a 110% speed killer you'll want to be relying on your power to get your downs anyway. The Trickster also excels on the more open maps that leave survivors out in the open while they're working on gens. Can you play around looping survivors? There's an add-on that let's you retain speed while you throw your knives at them. Want something risky but rewarding? Take the ricochet knives or the add-on that gives survivors the exposed status when you restrain your shots. Just want to throw stuff without worrying about missing? Just bring the additional knives and/or faster reloads add-on. There is an add on for a wide variety of playstyles. You can't really go wrong with most of them but you obviously want to stay away from the ones that nerf your power in exchange for extra BP gain. You definitely want to load up on The Tricksters add-ons as he has a rather healthy array that can tip the game over in your favor. NWO buys you a sizable amount of time blocking the exit gates so you can hunt down survivors without immediate concern of any escapes. Hex:CC prevents survivors from being able to constantly loop you at a single spot and forcing them to move around a bit more. Don't expect to get good value out of Starstruck as you're too slow a killer to really capitalize on the timed expose status and have a smaller Terror Radius, but Hex:CC and NWO are both solid perks. Tricksters 3 unique perks are Starstruck, Hex: Crowd Control, and No Way Out. In short, you want to have a really good game, with good gen defense, using your ability a lot, getting most if not all hooks/kills, and ending chases as fast as possible. Merciless Victory entails getting 2 pips from the emblem rating screen which is easier to do on low MMR but still doable regardless of rank. ![]()
